Thick-film passivating

Thick-film passivating is a type of surface refinement becoming increasingly popular; more and more importance is attached to corrosion-resistant and chrome-VI-free coatings, particularly in the automotive industry.

Normally, the chrome(VI) concentration in yellow chromized surfaces is ca. 50 +/-mg/m² chrome(VI) according to DIN ISO 3613.

Thick-film passivating is characterized by high corrosion resistance that can even be increased further by a corresponding follow-up sealing.
