REISSER-Schraubentechnik is expanding its electroplating operations in Criesbach, Germany. The company is building a new production hall, which will house an innovative barrel zinc plating plant. A groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday 29 October.
Including the plating plant, REISSER is investing around EUR 7 million in the 2000-sqm production hall. The commissioning of the new plant, which will enable a 40% higher production capacity, is scheduled for July 2019.
Michael Dartsch, Managing Director of Production at REISSER, says: "The electroplating sector is one of our areas of growth and is a brilliant example of how we are using innovative products and services to explore new markets. With this expansion, we are continuing the success story of our electroplating business and positioning ourselves in the market as an attractive partner not just for screws, but also for finishing techniques. More and more we are becoming a brand that is synonymous with electroplating design."
Based in Criesbach, REISSER is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of stainless steel screws, producing connection elements for customers from industrial, roof, wall and solar sectors. REISSER's own in-house electroplating facility allows it to offer coating solutions for components used across a number of sectors, including the automotive industry and valve technology. "In the new facility, the parts for treatment are handled extremely careful-ly and have a very high level of corrosion protection. As a result, we are able to meet the ever-increasing corrosion protection needs of our cus-tomers, thus making a significant contribution towards improving their efficiency.
Key accounts such as EATON have already shown an interest in assigning plant capacity to their hydraulic products. Full utilisation is already secured," says Dartsch.
